a traditonal Vietnamese
tea ceremony
A tea ceremony is traditionally part of weddings in Vietnamese culture. It holds significant meaning, especially in a family-oriented society like Vietnam, as this is the occasion for both the bride and groom to pay respects to their parents. The ceremony is a family affair, consisting of close families and friends to send their blessings to the happy couple and wishing them a long-lasting marriage. The ceremony celebrates love in a way that will strengthen the connection between the two families.
Liana & Chris's welcome tea ceremony
Liana & Chris will be having an informal tea ceremony in Philadelphia, which will also be regarded as their welcome party for those traveling near and far who wish to celebrate the happy couple. All are welcome to attend. The bride and groom will be serving tea to their parents and close relatives to show their gratitude and respect by thanking them for all the sacrifices they made. Speeches will be made by the future in-laws, followed by dinner and drinks.
